CRO Target Health upgrades electronic document system
CRO Target Health has taken the wraps off version 1.5 of Target Document, a secure, Part 11-compliant, Internet-based document sharing, distribution and management system. The system allows users to post, share, sign and archive any electronic document within a web browser. It is intended to help vendors, CROs, clinical research sites and sponsors communicate transparently in a secure environment.
The upgrade includes user management enhancements, access to a recycle bin, parallel document sign-off, manual folder backup, e-signature text configuration and document expiration dating.
"Target Document allows for a paperless Trial Master File and is part of the paperless eClinical toolbox of products available from Target Health," company President Jules Mitchel says in a statement.
The Target Health toolbox includes the e*CRF flagship EDC software; Target Encoder, which links to the e*CRF database to encode MedDRA and WHODRUG terms; e*CTMS, which allows for Internet-based project management across studies at one site; and Newsletter, which aids in the creation of a trial newsletter containing real-time enrollment data and comments.
