System manages trial images
The Image Management Archive System helps trial sponsors centralize the collection of large imaging data sets for clinical trials, while providing online accessibility and secure storage.
Many clinical trials incorporate imaging data for surrogate endpoints, says system maker M2S Inc. in an announcement. And even though researchers don't always know whether regulators will review image data or require its submission, such data is potentially valuable--sponsors may want to use the images for a later submission, for subsequent trials, or for patient registries.
The image-management system helps sponsors adjust a trial and add a blinded radiological review at any point, the company says. M2S will customize the product based on service levels needed for a particular trial.
