Software aids trial monitors

Clinical researcher Health Decisions has rolled out Monitor View, an add-on to its recently launched HD360Ëš trial management platform. The new module supports proactive management by clinical trial monitors.

Via the add-on, monitors from both Health Decisions and sponsor companies use a customizable Internet environment to access site performance metrics and trial data trends. Automated resolution of some query types is provided, as are search and reporting tools. 

The module can also be used to schedule monitoring visits based on the work completed at each site. "By granting monitors the ability to continuously refine trial operations, HD360Ëš and our Agile Clinical Development platform allow researchers to apply adaptive techniques with no added risk to data integrity or patient safety," says Health Decisions COO Rick Farris, in an announcement.

Monitor View is the second of three modules planned for the HD360Ëš system. It aligns with HD360Ëš Investigator View, released earlier this summer, for site data capture. Sponsor reporting and analysis tools are planned for the final module.
