Life sciences and pharma researchers deal with huge amounts of data, making them popular targets among companies such as Google ($GOOG) and Amazon ($AMZN) with cloud-computing services. As Chris Potter, a co-founder ScreenLight, writes in TechCrunch, Google has upped its cloud-computing game with enhancements that rival Amazon's and could give customers more opportunities to tap cloud computing.
