Need for speed aids trial solution pick
Set-up speed and staff familiarity were primary drivers in Romark Labs' selection of data management and coding systems. The small-molecule biopharma company is currently conducting Phase II trials for hepatitis C and influenza drug candidates. Phase III trials are expected later this year.
The company's familiarity with SAS was also a factor in its selection of the ClinPlus Data Management and ClinPlus Coding systems from DZS Software, says Romark CEO Marc Ayers in an announcement. "We knew study set-up would go rapidly, allowing us to forgo extensive training that would have been required with other systems."
ClinPlus Data Management is a SAS-based system for case report form tracking, data entry, analysis and review, medical coding and trial reporting. The system can be extended via Citrix to support electronic data capture.
