Kenyans use smart phones for HIV tracking
"It's like managing a large clinical trial," says University of Washington computer science professor Gaetano Borriello, of an HIV monitoring project in Kenya. The project involves 1,200 public health workers using smart phones and software developed by Borriello's team to collect patient data and upload it to servers for analysis.
