iPhone app manages clinical trial images
Clinical trial data is calling on the iPhone. New functionality from Merge Healthcare delivers medical imaging workflow components to investigators' hands.
EFilm Mobile is an extension to the company's Workstation 3.3 platform. It gives users secure access to work lists and studies via iPhone or iPod touch, providing some medical imaging workflow capabilities. The new app lets investigators control eFilm; they can forward study images to a radiologist for reading on a diagnostic workstation, for example.
Wireless and 3G network compatibility allows investigators to connect via iPhone to multiple eFilm Workstations; allow multiple iPhone connections to eFilm Workstation; and view, pan and zoom in on images.
