CRO opts for standards in EDC
Contract researcher Beardsworth has tapped OmniComm's TrialMaster EDC solution for use in a Phase II vaccine study. Investigators plan to enroll 340 subjects in the 3-year, 10-site study.
The CRO plans to import electronic data into TrialMaster via an OmniComm template-matching subsystem. Conversely, electronic exports from TrialMaster to the Beardsworth BNet portal will be via OmniComm's RESTful Internet services application programming interface. RESTful leverages CDISC standards for integration with external data sources like BNet.
Concerning CDISC, its operational data model (ODM) version 1.3.1 is now available for public review. The review runs through mid-December.
