CDISC registers Nextrials

The Clinical Data Interchange Standards Consortium (CDISC) has approved Nextrials as a registered solutions provider. The clinical software supplier, which makes the Prism EDC and trial management platform, joins the likes of BioClinica, Medidata and Phase Forward as one of the 15 providers sanctioned by the standards maker for compliance.

Nextrials is currently the only provider boasting an EDC product that supports the CDISC Healthcare Link Initiative, which targets the drug development holy grail of EDC interoperability with electronic health records.

"By using a standards-based process, workflow for clinical research can be integrated into the workflow for clinical care," says Rebecca Kush, CDISC president and CEO, in an announcement. "This streamlines the process for sharing clinical care information for multiple uses, including research and public health."
